Is emulation software harder on video cards or CPUs? what makes for the best rom system.Įmulation generally profits a lot from a good CPU but the more modern the system you want to emulate, the more important a good graphics card becomes. The Xbox consoles.well, work is being done but it's still a long way off. With Nintendo, N64 and Gamecube are well on the way with lots of titles being fully playable but you will generally need to fiddle around and maybe even try different emulators to get the best results for each game. PS3 emulation is well on the way and roughly 60% of the titles are already fully playable with either just minor glitches or no glitches at all. PS2 is also very stable and the grand majority of titles run well but it requires a beefy system. In general, pretty much all of the old systems up to (and including) PS1 are fully emulated at this point. What's system currently has the most progress? i know if you try xbox 1 its pretty hit and miss but are there any other systems that the games play pretty much flawless?

Someone else already linked r/emulation but you should also have a look at the Emulation General Wiki which has tons of info about all the different emulators and about the general state of emulation for each system. Is there some kind of "scene"? or one unique source of info that i can go to for changing news and such? a subreddit that keeps tabs on current emulation?
